1. Gather your supplies.
- Presewn marble strip
- 13 marbles
- tape or safety pin to close the opening while working (optional, not pictured)
- clothespin to hold the marble in place while tying your knot (optional, not pictured)
2. Put all 13 marbles in the opening of the strip.
3. Tape or safety pin the opening closed while you tie your knots. This step is optional, but I highly recommend it, in order to keep from "loosing your marbles". :)
4. Find the 7th marble, feeling through the fabric strip. Match up both ends to find the center of your necklace. You should have 6 marbles on each side, and your center marble inside the fabric strip.
5. Place the clothespin on the fabric strip next to the center marble.
6. Tie a knot on the other side of the marble.
7. Move another marble down next to the knot.
8. Tie another knot next to the marble.
9. Keep going on both sides until you have tied knots next to all the marbles. You should have 14 knots total. If you feel the need to hand sew or glue your opening closed, do so now. I usually don't bother, and a lot of times the opening is hidden in the back tie.
10. 11. 12. Tie the ends together with a knot. (I am not sure I can accurately describe this process in words, follow the pictures if you want your ends to lay across, and not stick up and down.) I like to make sure it can slip over the head without having to tie it every time I put it on.

this tutorial on How Does She. This is my own take on these fun & easy necklaces! If you would like to make your own fabric strips, this will be a good tutorial to follow. The changes I made were: cut 2 strips - 2 3/4" x 44" (or fabric width). Then cut one of the strips in half, (it will measure 2 3/4" x 22") and seam the two strips together.
Bonus Tip: If you cut 3 strips you can make 2 necklaces!
